Glera Games, a company developing games for mobile phones, has entered into an agreement with the commercial real estate (RE) company Baltisches Haus to rent an office in the capital’s old town, in the business and leisure complex “Bokšto skveras” (“Tower Square”), reconstruction of which is nearly completed.
The companies signed a lease contract for an area of 670 sq m. The transaction was brokered by the RE services company Newsec. The division of Glera Games, which is growing rapidly in Lithuania, intends to move into the Tower Square already this summer.
“Finding a cosy office in the old town of Vilnius, which would have a spacious parking lot, modern ventilation and air conditioning systems and appropriate lighting was a considerable challenge. We believe that our employees will also appreciate the possibility to reach the most famous historical, cultural and entertainment places of Vilnius within a few minutes on foot or by bicycle to enjoy after a day of work,” said Jūratė Radzevičiūtė, Director of Glera Games.
According to Audrius Masionis, the CEO of Baltisches Haus, Glera Games is the first office tenant in this complex, with a total of 3,000 of 6,000 sq m dedicated to office space in the Tower Square.
“The remaining part is occupied by Gastronomika restaurant established last year, and the arrangement of the day SPA and meeting space is nearly completed. The complex will also rent apartments to private individuals. We expect to complete the second and last stage of reconstruction this month,” stated Masionis.
Indrė Narauskaitė, the Head of Office Solutions at Newsec, noted that most technology companies prefer offices in business centres located in the central business area, but Glera Games was most impressed by the authentic harmonious combination of Tower Square’s Baroque architecture and highly innovative architectural, engineering and design solutions.
