The winners of the LITUANICA contest, which was looking for the best urban and architectural ideas to develop territory in Kaunas city centre, have been announced.
The First Place was awarded to the international team Maxwan (leader – Hiroki Matsuura, Jason Hilgefort, Artur Borejszo, Jonas Grinevičius, Anna Borzyszkowska, Nobuki Ogasawara). Evaluation Commission composed of 16 members gave 9 first places to this team.
MAJ.GAM team (Gintaras Prikockis, Asta Prikockienė, Andrius Kenstavičius, Marius Ščerbinskas, Mažvydas Zajankauskas, Justas Prikockis) took Second Place.
Third Place was awarded to GSGS team (Gintaras Klimavičius, Saulius Pamerneckis, Gintaras Čaikauskas, Sigitas Kuncevičius).
Overall there were 5 teams in the contest, which were selected after a LITUANICA workshop that took place in Kaunas on 24-7 September, in the territory of the former factory Lituanica.Visitors can see the team projects in the LITUANICA contest at the Communication History Museum in Kaunas. Project exhibition will be open until 23 December.
